Google play revoked the ban on gambling and betting apps in some countries. It went into effect on March 1, 2021. This google play store has several strict policies against hosting, gambling, and apps of betting. Now this online platform is the host of some specific countries such as Brazil, Ireland, France, and the UK. As per the recent report, Google declared an update for real money betting, tournament policy, sports, Google lifted the ban on countries like Denmark, Mexico, Sweden, the United States, Finland, Germany, Spain, Japan, Australia, Colombia, Canada, Belgium, New Zealand, Norway, Romania. The Paytm app and Paytm first games were also blocked for some time from the google play store for permitting sports betting, fantasy esports.

The after-effect of lifting the ban of google play

After lifting the ban, the developers could publish the apps which allow the players for casino games, sports betting, lotteries, and many other gambling activities in various countries. But the region decides the eligibility criteria. The developers need to finish the application process before submitting their apps on the google play store. The developers have to ensure that their app fulfills the given eligibility criteria. In addition, the developers are permitted to publish a special kind of app for gambling and betting in every location.

The restructured real money betting, sports, tournament policy will be beneficial for the developers and the players. It allows the developers to get in touch with more users. Apart from that, they ensure the users that now they can download the betting app from legit sources.

How the rules affect several countries

The new rules which were applied from 1st March 2021, gave many restrictions to various countries. For example, some countries allow only online casinos; some countries permit sports betting, lotteries, and daily fantasy. That means each country has to follow some restrictions which are imposed on them. But the restrictions are complex. Most of the countries are permitted to run a lottery if it is operated by the government. But on the other hand, surprisingly a country like the UK does not face this kind of restriction. • Canada: online casino games, govt run lotteries, and sports betting are permitted in this country.
• Columbia: online casino games, sports betting, lotteries are allowed here.
• Norway: online casino games, sports betting, lotteries are allowed here.
• United Kingdom: online casino games, lotteries, betting are allowed.
• United States: horse racing, lotteries, sports betting, online casino games are allowed here. Japan: sports betting like motorboat racing, auto-cycle racing, soccer, horse racing are allowed. The govt run lotteries are also allowed here.
